What: The Theater Camp is designed for Spanish- and Spanish-speaking English Learners who have already mastered Spanish-speaking and listening skills. Where: Calvin Rodwell EMS, Charles Carroll Barrister ES, and Woodhome EMS When: Session 1: July 5th – July 20th, Monday-Thursday, 8:30AM to 3:30PM Session 2: July 25th – August 9th, Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Students may attend one or both sessions. This program will operate two 10-day sessions which will be hosted Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at three locations. Students will enroll in a unique, engaging, and academically challenging environment where students explore topics such as story-telling, robotics, and solving mysteries alongside other bright kids who love to learn. What: The CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars Program is co-run by Baltimore City Public Schools and Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth in order to provide rigorous, gifted-level content to elementary students to support their rapid growth in science, reading, math, and critical thinking. Who: 540 students: This program is designed for rising 1st through 6th grade students in who are identified as gifted, advanced, talent development, or those who have not been identified as GAL but show signs of giftedness such as asking critical questions, showing creativity, or thinking deeply about content through abstract connections. When: June 26th – July 27th, Monday-Thursday, 8:30am – 1:00pm For children who have school experience, Camp Curiosity provides opportunities to use and review previously taught skills and allows learning continuity over the summer. Attending Camp Curiosity helps children learn the structures, rules, and routines necessary to be successful in school. For some children, Camp Curiosity is their first experience in a school setting. A comprehensive curriculum was written by City Schools teachers. The goal of Camp Curiosity is to provide a fun, engaging, academic, and developmentally appropriate learning experience for children in pre-k and kindergarten. What: Camp Curiosity (CC) is a STEAM based summer program for pre-k and kindergarten students. Who: 250 students Incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students enrolled for 23-24 school year
